I was interested in commissioning a portrait following a close family tragedy. I hadn't ever been through the process and it could not have been easier. Marcus was the first person that came to mind as I have been an admirer of his work for some time.
I emailed an enquiry and he quickly responded asking for more detail, including a copy of a photo. An email came back a few days later with a preliminary sketch, a number of useful suggestions to create a realistic portrait, the cost and timeframe. Once agreed, I received regular progress updates until the time the painting was ready.
The final framed painting was amazing, so lifelike and it captured the subject perfectly. Marcus did a truly outstanding job and it was a very emotional moment, presenting it to the family. They were totally blown away and it is something they will treasure forever.
